The Soul
A poet, lyricist, dramatist, he was a multi-faceted personality who contributed a lot to the field of literature not only in his mother tongue Assamese but also in Bengali and English. He also won the famous “Soviet Nehru Award” for his work “Kuri Xatikar Soviet Kobita” in 1971 and he was the first Assamese personality to get this award.
Born in famous Malla Buzarbaruah family of Chandkuchi in the Kamrup district of Assam, completing his studies till graduation, he started his work life teaching in Tura high school as a teacher. After his promotion as a deputy inspector he completed his BT and MA in Assamese. Even during his busy schedule he completed his degree in library science.
He translated works of 52 soviet poets and compiled all of them in his writing “KuriXatikar Soviet Kobita”. His first poetry volume was “Sandhya Arati.” His subsequent two volumes were “Aranyak”,“Kal Chaitanya Manash”.

পৰেশমল্লই কবিতা লেখিছিল। ক্রমে ক্রমে মেল খাই আহিছিল তেওঁৰ কবিতাৰ সহস্ৰাৰ পদ্ম। তেওঁৰ কবিচিত্তত সময় – চেতনা-মন তিনিওটা একাত্ম হৈ ধৰা দিছিল।
কবিতাই তেওঁৰ জীৱনৰ প্ৰধান সাধনা আছিল আৰু তাৰ অনুশীলনত সততে আত্মনিয়োগ কৰিছিল।
পৰেশমল্লয়ো হয়তো নতুন ভাষা আৰু অনুভূতিৰ তুলিকাৰে সেউজী সপোন আৰু নানা ছবি আকিলেহে তেন। তেওঁৰ কবিতাৰ ঘাই প্রতিপাদ্য আছিল মানুহৰ মুক্তি – সভ্যতাৰ ছাঁত পিষ্ট হোৱা শেঁতা মুখৰ পৃথিব তীখনৰ মুক্তি।
প্ৰাচীনতৰ পৰিবেশৰ দ্বাৰাই পৰিবেষ্টিত আৰু পৰিবৰ্দ্ধিত হোৱা একেজনৰ পক্ষে কবিতাখিনি আচহুৱা যেন লাগিব পাৰে। কিন্তু যি কবিতাৰ পোৰাণিকেই হওক মোকোহে চেপিব পাৰে তেওঁৰ নিমিত্তে পৰেশমল্ল বৰুৱাৰ অনূদিত কুৰি শতিকাৰ ছোভিয়েত কবিতা- নিশ্চয় অনুপ্ৰেৰণাৰ সাৰথি হ’ব।
